Organ Donation Campaign
This animation titled Happy Weekend reflects a fun and creative narrative I developed to showcase my skills in animation production on the topic "organ donation". The project revolves around light-hearted weekend vibes, using colourful, playful visuals and smooth transitions to tell a simple yet engaging story. The animation captures the essence of relaxation and enjoyment, which aligns with the theme of celebrating life’s small joys during the weekend while being able to talk about organ donation without being too serious.
Problem:
The challenge is to create a short animation (1-2 minutes) that conveys feelings about organ donation while utilizing specific software and documenting the entire process in an e-portfolio. The assignment requires a blend of technical skills (animation and editing), creativity (character design, storytelling), and emotional depth (the theme of organ donation).
Insight:
Organ donation is often associated with deep emotions such as gratitude, hope, and the cycle of life. Families, patients, and doctors experience this profound journey from different perspectives. An animation that captures these emotions—perhaps through personal stories or metaphorical representations—can create a strong emotional connection with the audience.
Idea:
The animation could revolve around a story of how organ donation transforms lives, told from the perspective of both of a child and her mom. By using contrasting colors or visual styles, the little child brings her mother to a cinema to learn more about organ donation.
